Prior to forming the firm, he was Vice President of Marketing for Insurance Benefit Consultants, Ltd. and Vice President of Employee Benefits for Marsh McLennan Group Associates in Chicago. Mr. Reese was the Regional Sales Manager for BCBSIL before entering the brokerage/consulting arena. His background provides a wealth of knowledge and experience to CBC.

    Mr. Traina has over 30 years of insurance industry experience in group benefits. Prior to forming Corporate Benefit Consultants, Inc. in April 1996, he spent eight years as Vice President of Marketing/Sales for Insurance Benefit Consultants, Ltd. Prior to that, he was a group representative for Humana Insurance Company and United Insurance Company of America. His knowledge of insured, self-funded and alternatively funded programs as well as his positive approach to business has greatly complemented the services provided by CBC. Mr. Traina is highly respected in the insurance underwriting arena which makes him a valuable asset to his clients and CBC. He is a member of the following associations: United Benefit Advisors (UBA), National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), National Association of Life Underwriters (NALU), Northeastern Illinois Association of Health Underwriters (NIAHU); Self Insurance Association of America (SIAA); past member International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP).

His prior experience includes 12 years as a Senior Group Representative with Standard Insurance and Reliance Standard Life. In these positions he was responsible for the marketing of medical reinsurance, life insurance and long term disability programs. Mr. Cornelius' knowledge with insured, self-funded and alternatively funded programs as well as his positive approach to business has greatly complemented the services provided by CBC. He is a seasoned third-generation insurance veteran with a strong commitment to his client's best interest.

He also has had extensive group experience at CNA Financial and Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company as an Underwriting Manager. In these various positions, he was responsible for marketing and underwriting of group benefits relating to PPO, Comprehensive Major Medical, HSA and Dental programs. His background not only provides a great deal of knowledge within the group insurance business but also provides CBC clients with a strong advocate with the experience of a major markets underwriter.

He came to CBC after 17 years of service with SKF-USA Inc, where he was Team Leader-Benefits, managing the employee benefits function for the SKF-USA locations and over 10,000 employees and retirees. He has extensive experience in corporate benefits, compensation, and labor relations with both Spiegel, Inc. and W. F. Hall Printing Company. His background is in corporate benefits administration and finance. Additionally, his Human Resources experience is a valuable source that may be utilized. at a client's request to review, analyze and recommend possible changes in policies, procedures, HRIS and other aspects of HR administration.

In addition to managing claims Tony was responsible for responding directly to members of group client’s claim inquiries. In 1990 he joined a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) as Senior Claims Examiner responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex claim issues. He was promoted to Client Account Manager responsible for all facets of client operations and service satisfaction. In 1993 he joined Insurance Benefit Consultants as a brokerage Client Account Manager responsible for account retention and service satisfaction. In 1998 he joined CBC as Senior Consultant bringing an extensive background of personalized customer service and industry experience. Tony’s commitment to providing tangible results and superior service is a major asset to our clients and the agency.

He served in both sales and management positions for over 10 years with one of the largest publicly traded insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the world. Gregg was also employed as Director of Sales (ancillary products) with Pacific Life & Annuity. Over the last decade Gregg has been a group employee benefits consultant & broker, serving clients in both the public and private sector. His clients are his number one priority and he is dedicated to providing exemplary service, support and cost savings to his clients. He is actively engaged in community service and also one of the founders and former board member for a local not-for-profit foundation.

Prior to joining CBC, John held Senior Sales and Executive Management positions with Trustmark, United HealthCare and Travelers where he earned numerous "Top National Sales Awards". Over the course of his career, John's clients included many large Chicago based companies, such as Kemper Insurance, McDonalds, Stewart Warner, USG, LaSalle Steel, Chicago Transit Authority and Sargent & Lundy. He has a great deal of knowledge in the "Consumer Driven" marketplace and is extremely passionate about his business and clientele. John has a solid background in all areas of our business; including but not limited to financial underwriting, self-funding, actuarial practices, provider contracting, claim systems, HR procedures and contractual provisions. John's attention to detail, follow through and negotiating skills are highly rated and appreciated by all his clients. John's wealth of knowledge makes him an extremely valuable asset to CBC. John also works closely with the American Council of Engineering Companies, where he has built a solid reputation with engineering firms in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Rhonda was also an underwriter with John Alden Insurance Company for several years. Prior to joining CBC in 2001, she was the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for a worldwide financial institute, ING Company. Rhonda's knowledge of the insurance industry and reinsurance markets has proven to be an immediate asset to clients of CBC.

She regularly attends UBA seminars and other industry related classes, and always looks forward to broadening her education in new strategic ways to market insurance.
